Now there is a thought! If only I could think like God thinks. 

Too much of my thinking is scattered, muddled or fuzzy. If I could only connect to the mind of God; to see what He sees; to know what He knows; to think like He thinks. 

Then I would be able to rise above the limitations of this world and my own pitiful existence.

This Sunday I begin a series of messages on how one man learned to think God’s thoughts after Him. 

He learned to think like God thinks. 

That man was: “Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.” (2 Kimgs 5:1)

Naaman was a confusing contradiction. Naaman was a great man, mighty in valor, but he was a leper. 

This is not simply a story, or simply history. This is a lesson of how one man found God.

His story, is your story.

You are more like Naaman than you realize. 

His story is the story of a man in helplessness, standing in the need of something far bigger and greater, than even himself. 

All of us, at some point, find ourselves where Naaman was, in helplessness.

Life will do that to you sooner or later.

It doesn’t take long for before one day, you are going to get to the end of yourself, when you cannot do anything for yourself. 

When that day comes, and it will come, you are going to need a power far bigger than yourself. 

You in your helplessness, will be like Naaman standing in the need of something far bigger and greater, than yourself.
