This one has it all - breath-taking views, beautiful woodland, rocky edges and heaps of history!Come join a group of like-minded women to learn about the fascinating history and geology of this stunning area of the Peak District National Park.Distance: 5 miles/8.5kmAscent: 1000ft/310mLevel: Easy/Moderate/Challenging: mostly easy footpaths and trails with some uphill sections. There are stiles to climb on this walk, a couple of which are a little broken.Toilets:There are no toilets at the car park or along the way on the walk so we may have to embrace the good old ‘wild wees’ whilst we’re out! There are plenty of little hidden spots for us to squat in private!Safety:The whole point of our walks is that they are enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone so we will keep to a slow and steady pace. It's about taking in the views, learning about the history and geology of the area and being in nature, not about rushing to the finish line. Having said that, you are responsible for your own health and safety and with all outdoor activities, there can be risks involved. If you are unsure as to whether you are fit to come on this walk, please either consult your doctor or let us know your concerns. Please inform us of any medical conditions prior to the walk. Every participant MUST complete this Medical & Disclaimer Form a minimum of 24 hours before the event begins.Our leaders are qualified Hill and Moorland and Mountain Leaders and level 3 Outdoor First Aid trained so they will be on hand in case of an emergency.Dogs:Dogs are more than welcome to come along but please ensure they remain on leads at all times.Refund Policy*:Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled. If you can no longer attend you are more than welcome to sell your ticket to someone else but please let me know if you do so.
