- **Event Description**: After 12 long years we are returning to Rockland Lake this month on the 24-25th from 9:00-8:00. 

To help Rockland County in the Hudson Valley launch into the 250th anniversary year of our country, we will have sculptures depicting the bold eagle and the American bison, the national bird and the national mammal. A special treat will be visited upon those who venture all the way down to icehouse number three.

The pavilion at the north end of the park will display historic photographs and film showing ice harvesting at Rockland Lake more than 120 years ago.

As many of you may know, the festival’s cofounder and creative spark was Robert Patalano, who sculpted all of the monumental sculptures at the ice house, and directed all of the ice activities. Rob passed away last July, but not before sharing his vision for a better Rockland Lake, which the public will see visualized for the first time.  Saturday the Eagle will be sculpted. The Bison is Sunday. We have an ice chimney that we will light on Saturday that will thrill onlookers during its brief battle between fire and ice. 

And we have four food trucks to satisfy and keep you around!

There is no admission, but all parking lots will have a $10 per car fee.  And if you enjoy yourself, we ask that you make a donation to our cause, which cannnot happen without your support.
