Concordia’s Got Talent
Sunday, April 26, 2026 – Live Finals
Division I at 3:00PM – Division II at 5:00PM
The Brown Grand Opera House is sponsoring a talent show which will include a Live Finals Round on April 26th. Those interested in participating in Concordia’s Got Talent must submit an online audition video on or before Wednesday, April 1, 2026. All contestants selected for the final rounds must be available to perform in the live final show on Sunday, April 26. Over $500 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners at the Finals.
Inspired by shows such as America’s Got Talent, the Brown Grand has decided to promote the talent of North Central Kansas. Contestants must reside in one of the following counties to participate: Cloud, Republic, Ottawa, Washington, Clay, Mitchell, or Jewell. There will be two divisions: Division I will showcase youth from 6 to 16 years of age, while Division II is for adults 17 and older. Individuals and groups will be considered for any type of appropriate talent for a family-oriented audience.
Cast lists for the final show for each Division will be posted on the Brown Grand’s website (www.browngrand.org/events) by Friday, April 10. All rules, regulations, and information details are posted below.
If an act is selected to move into the final rounds, individuals/groups must check-in as they arrive. Doors will open at 2:30pm for audience seating, before the Division I competition. Those performing onstage will have 4 minutes to set up their act and then 5 minutes to perform live in front of a panel of judges.
During the Finals, the Brown Grand will provide the same general lighting for all acts, up to six microphones, and a sound system, which can play electronic files from a USB flash drive – other forms of media will not be accepted, including cell phones, YouTube videos, or other emailed files. If a finalist does not bring performance media with them to the finals on a USB flash drive, they will perform without media support. A Brown Grand technician will run the equipment. A grand piano and monitor will also be available. All other equipment must be provided by contestants. Acts which contain fire or are dangerous to audience members are prohibited.
Judging criteria will be based on stage presence and professionalism, technical ability, appearance/costume, creativity, appropriateness for audience, and overall performance/difficulty of the act. Members of the Brown Grand Board will select the acts from Round I that will advance to the Final Round. Finalists will perform in front of three live judges with backgrounds in the arts and a live audience. Judges will have the opportunity to provide feedback after each act during the Finals. Winners will be announced at the Finals at the end of each Division.
FINALS
Division I Finals will begin at 3pm and Division II Finals will begin at 5pm on Sunday, April 26. Admission to watch the Final Rounds is $15 per person for one of the two Divisions or $25 per person for both Divisions. Tickets are available at the door only.
