Quirky bird alert!
During this guided walk, you’ll learn about the unique courtship display of the American woodcock, often referred to as the “timberdoodle.” With some luck and quiet observation, you may catch a glimpse of these quirky birds as they perform their spectacular aerial “sky dance” at twilight. We’ll discuss the woodcock’s behavior and the conservation efforts to restore and protect their habitat.
Whether you’re a birdwatcher, nature lover, or just curious about local wildlife, this evening walk offers a peaceful yet exhilarating experience. Flashlights are not necessary – low-light lanterns will be provided to participants. Don’t forget to bring your sense of wonder and curiosity – this is a unique opportunity to witness nature’s wonders up close.
We look forward to sharing this magical experience with you!
