Join plant educator & enthusiast, Heather of Rooted Connections, as we learn about the various edible & medicinal plants that call this trail home, while exploring some unique samplings along the way.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, April 11

Time: Check-in's begins at 11:15am. The class starts promptly at 11:30am. If you arrive late, we are unable to wait for you, so please come find us along the main trail, we won't be far! This class is about 90 minutes in length.

Location: Lamoreaux Trail: 4385 Coit Ave NE, Grand Rapids Twp, Michigan. Please note that this park has two different parking lots. If you type in Lamoreaux Park in your GPS, it will bring you to a different location on Bailey Street where the baseball diamonds are. Please use the physical address provided on Coit Ave for the correct location.

Parking & Restrooms: There is a large dirt parking lot with plenty of parking. We will meet for check ins in the parking lot. There are no restrooms available at this location.

Who: This Plant Walk is for humans age 8+. Please no pets, but service animals and well behaved ESA's are always welcome. Rooted Connections events are committed to always being a safe place for members of the LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC communities.

Cost: $16

Wear: Clothing appropriate for the day’s weather, comfortable outdoor, closed toed shoes/boots, tall socks and long pants may be preferred. (Please be mindful, there’s always a chance we could encounter some mud, moisquitos, poison ivy or ticks).

Bring: Notepad & pen or a charged device for notes, Bug spray & Sunscreen, Water bottle, Umbrella or Rain jacket in the case of rain.

Weather: Class will remain scheduled in the event of rain. However in the event of severe or extreme weather, class will be canceled and a refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations up to 24 hours before class start time. No refunds less than 24 hours before class start time.
