This is a fun way to learn about birds in an urban setting.Trip Details:The leader will meet you in the parking lot. Entry to the park is free.We will be walking on a flat, approximately 2 mile limestone path that winds through marshland and around a small lake that offers the chance to observe Great Blue Herons, Mute Swans, Sandhill Cranes, Great Egrets, Mallards, Double-Crested Cormorants and more! A highlight of the walk will be a beautiful covered wooden bridge that serves as a nesting hotspot for dozens of Barn swallows!Good to know: There are no bathrooms. Half of the walk will be in the sun so wear sun protection and bring water.
