The Long Island Gay Men’s Chorus (LIGMC) is seeking new voices to join its merry band of choristers as it begins rehearsals for its 2026 Pride concert series. The kickoff rehearsal will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church, located at 189 Burr Road in East Northport.

No formal auditions are required, and there are no gender restrictions for LIGMC membership. 

Prospective members should be prepared to sing in either the bass, baritone, tenor 2 or tenor 1 voice parts; commit to weekly rehearsals (primarily held on Wednesday evenings) and learn/memorize songs for a concert program to be performed at three venues across Long Island in June.

A NOTE ABOUT MEMBERSHIP DUES - LIGMC charges new members a $50, one-time Music Library rental fee; and all members pay seasonal dues of $50. We work hard to keep these costs low and stable through fundraising, and we welcome lump sum or payment plans to fit your needs.
