The evening’s program will include: The Power of One: In the Company of Courage, a panel discussion with Congresswoman Beatty and Congressman James E. Clyburn (SC-06), moderated by Ed Gordon, an Emmy Award-winning journalist.

Special guests include Walter “Ted” Carter Jr., President of The Ohio State University, and Monica Téllez-Fowler, President and CEO of the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA).

As part of the anniversary celebration, Congresswoman Beatty will recognize three Ohioans whose leadership reflects the courage, service, and commitment of Rosa Parks:

* Dawn Tyler Lee, Dawn Tyler Lee, Founder & CEO, Forrest Street Consulting 
* André Washington, Special Assistant to the Executive Director, OAPSE/AFSCME
