During this two-day course, attendees will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset, what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation, the knowledge necessary to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), and learn how to build and support Agile teams and programs, empower a Lean Portfolio, build a Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinate large solutions. They will also learn and practice the skills for supporting and executing PI Planning events, and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs). They will develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide—and empower their enterprises to succeed in a disruptive marketplace—when they become a SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA).

Attendees must attend both days of the course in order to be eligible for the exam.

 

Prerequisites

All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA) certification exam:


5+ years’ experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product, or project management

Experience in Scrum

Attendees who pass the certification exam will receive:


SAFe Agilist certificate

A SAFe 4 Agilist digital badge to promote your accomplishment online

A one-year certified membership as a SAFe Agilist, which includes access to the SA Community of Practice

A SAFe Agilist certification usage guide with SA certification marks

Access to a variety of learning resources to support certified professionals during their SAFe journey


 

Annual Renewal

Certifications expire one year from the date the certification is earned.

Trainers

Philip Van Sickel is Director, Lean Agile & DevOps Services at CGI US. Seasoned IT veteran with 41 years of experience in the manufacturing and financial industries. He played multiple roles like CTO, Director, Program Manager, Data Manager in past. He is SPCT and trained SPCs in 5 countries since 2017. Have lead multiple enterprise agile transformations in the SAFe framework. 

 

Nick Nagle is a Consultant within the Agile Practice at CGI in the Great Lakes Business Unit. He has extensive experience in the IT industry from Business Analyst to an agile program coach. Certified as an SPC 4.6, he has assisted in leading many Agile transformations/projects within the Gas and Oil, Government, and Retail industries.

CGI reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class at any time, including but not limited to, insufficient registrations, classroom or trainer unavailability, or if the trainer could not attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

You are advised to consult a CGI contact person prior to making any travel arrangements for a training.

CGI is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or special damages that may be incurred due to a cancellation of a scheduled class, including, but not limited to cancellation penalties owing to transportation or accommodation arrangements.

Registrants would not be charged for the training and would be offered full credit to a future workshop or full refund as per the wish of the registrant.
