The workshop will begin at 9:30 A.M. with a presentation about the history and significance of Green Lawn Cemetery, followed by a training on cemetery preservation practices. Attendees will get the opportunity to gain hands-on experience following the presentation - working within the cemetery to help preserve gravestones. Registration is $10. Young professionals in the historic preservation field are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome.The workshop will be held from 9:30-12:00, on August 30th, 2026. Attendees will meet in the chapel of the cemetery and may park in the drive in front of the chapel or along the roadways nearby. Coffee and pastries will be provided to enjoy during the presentation. As this is a hands-on training, please wear close-toed shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting a little messy! If you have gloves and eye protection that you would like to bring, it is recommended. There will also be some provided.
