Bobby Floyd and Tony Monaco: Masters of the B3

Bobby Floyd and Tony Monaco take the stage at Natalie’s for a rare and very special program: Masters of the B3! They will both be performing on classic Hammond B3 organs and accompanied by Derek DiCenzo on guitar and bass, and Reggie Jackson on drums. Floyd, a Grammy nominee in 2020, has performed extensively in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan. Touring events include major jazz festivals, concert halls, and numerous night clubs with Ray Charles, Jeff Tyzik, The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, Dr. John and Byron Stripling.

When Tony Monaco was twelve, his destiny as a jazz organist was sealed when he first heard Jimmy Smith. In 2000, he released the critically acclaimed “Burnin Grooves”, and the international success of the recording served as the catalyst for regional and national tours. An ardent student of the Hammond B-3 organ, Tony continues his mission to raise awareness and appreciation of jazz organ and its importance in genres as diverse as traditional Gospel, R&B and Modern Jazz.
