A Simple Machine is a thoughtful coming-of-age film following Nick Allander, a recent college graduate drowning in debt who decides to radically simplify his life. He leaves his career, sells his possessions, fixes up an old ten-speed with Goodwill parts, and sets out to find a new direction.

The film explores personal freedom, financial independence, relationships, and what it really means to choose a simpler life in a culture built around having more.

🚲 BIKES FOR ALL PEOPLE RIDE TO THE MOVIE

We’re hosting a group ride from Bikes for All People to Gateway Film Center for the screening! We’ll have a safe route with lead and sweep riders to help keep everyone together and make the ride enjoyable for all.

💰 HELP US BUILD OUR THIRD SPACE!

We’re also using this event as a fundraiser to raise $1,500 to build a fence in our backyard and create a third space for our community.

Our goal is to build the space ourselves and use it to:
• Host community events
• Work on bikes outside when weather permits
• Gather and connect with our neighbors
• Create more opportunities for the community to enjoy the shop
