Anderson is a strange mix of fantasy nerd, nature writer, podcaster, poet, and erstwhile academic. He once accidentally picked up a rattlesnake and has slept in the branches of a maple tree more than most writers. He created and voices TheCryptoNaturalist podcast, a show about real love for imaginary nature, and he regularly shares his poems and prose on social media. He has published three books of poetry as well as the memoir Something in the Woods Loves You, about his lifelong struggle with depression and the healing power of the natural world. He has an MA in early modern English literature and insists he’s more fun than that makes him sound. He lives with his wife and son in a little white house tucked between a park and a cemetery. Visit him online at https://www.jarodkanderson.com/.Diane Callahan is a fiction writer, poet, editor, and art gallery marketer who really needs to sleep more. On her YouTube channel, Quotidian Writer, she provides practical tips for aspiring authors. You can read her work in Consequence, Translunar Travelers Lounge, Tales to Terrify, Short Édition, and The Sunlight Press, among others. Her debut poetry collection, The Ship and the Storm, was released in September 2025 with Story Garden Publishing. "description": "The Ohioana Library Association was founded in 1929 by Ohio First Lady Martha Kinney Cooper to collect, preserve, and promote the works of Ohio authors, artists, and musicians. By the early 1930s the Library had outgrown its space in the Governor’s Mansion and moved into the new State Office Building at 65 S. Front Street, where it remained until 2001. Ohioana and the State Library of Ohio then moved to the renovated Jeffrey Mining Corporate Center near downtown Columbus. Today the Library’s holdings include more than 45,000 books by or about Ohioans; 10,000 pieces of sheet music; biographical files on notable Ohioans; personal papers of Ohio authors and artists; and numerous scrapbooks created by Ohio civic and cultural organizations. The collection does not circulate, but is available for in-library use. Each April, the Ohioana Library organizes the Ohioana Book Festival - a celebration of Ohioans and their literary contributions. In 2018, the Ohioana Book Festival had more than 120 authors in attendence to sell their books, meet with fans, and speak on panels."
