- **Event Description**: Please join us on August 20th from 6:30-8:00pm for a community-wide discussion on Safety & The Disability Community in Howard County.  It will be held at the East Columbia 50+ Senior Center.  It is open to all members of the community. The feedback will help inform the work of the Howard County Task Force that was created to delve into what we must do to create an accepting, safe, civil, and understanding first responder system, following the tragic death of Alex Lamorie.  
 
The meeting is co-sponsored by the Autism Society of Maryland and Accessible Resources for Independence.  Facilitation will be by Mediation and Conflict Resolution Center.  Funding is provided through a grant from the Ethan Saylor Alliance (Maryland Department of Disabilities)
