A Study Tour for Early Childhood Educators
Join fellow educators for an exciting day of exploration at one of the country's most avant-garde Jewish early childhood centers. An added treat is learning alongside Head of School and early childhood professor Rabbi Meir Muller, PhD.
What could be better than a day in beautiful South Carolina, you ask? How about extending your stay to include the annual conference of the Association for Constructivist Teaching. If choosing both, be sure to register for the Pop-Up below.
Organization of The Day:10:00-10:30 – Arrive at the school / Review the information in your folder/ Formulate questions to ask on the tour.
10:30-11:30 – Tour the school with administration. During this time, you will visit the classrooms and all the commons spaces of the school while one of the administrators shares information about our school’s history, philosophy, and context.11:30-12:30 – Observe in classrooms. At this time, you are free to visit and observe in the classrooms or any other areas of the school that are of interest to you.12:30-1:30 – Have lunch with CJDS faculty members.1:30-3:00 – Engage in discussions with school faculty members.3:00-3:30 – Wrap up the day/ Discuss and additional questions/ Develop short and long-term goals for your setting.
