We’re excited to share that the new playground equipment at Janson Park has been installed. One of the final steps is spreading playground mulch—and we could really use your help.
If you sponsored a personalized brick, this is a perfect opportunity to see it placed along the walkway that separates the two new play areas. The kids (and kids at heart) are super excited about the new playground, and your support has made it possible.
Volunteer Work Evenings at Janson Park, 650 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA:
• Monday, August 11 at 5:30 PM
• Wednesday, August 13 at 5:30 PM
We’ll be spreading mulch from two full tractor trailers—so we need all the helping hands we can get. If you have a wheelbarrow, garden rake or pitchfork, please bring it along (and feel free to bring a friend too).
We’ll have a front-end loader and skilled operator on-site to move the mulch from the pile into the play areas. The Columbia Park Rangers, a volunteer group dedicated to the upkeep of our parks, and other community groups will also be lending a hand.
No RSVP required—just show up ready to jump in.
