BEDTIME STORIES: SONGS OF SLEEP AND DREAMS

Drift into a magical world of lullabies, dreams, and storybook favorites as Columbia Youth Choirs presents an enchanting evening of music inspired by bedtime stories and nighttime adventures. Featured on this concert are returning special guests, Artemisia, a Chicago-based vocal trio that harnesses the power of the female voice to tell stories through the vocal traditions of the world—making them the perfect companions for this journey through musical tales. From traditional cradle songs to contemporary settings of beloved children's literature, young singers, alongside these masterful storytellers, will transport audiences through a dreamy landscape of musical narratives. The unique program features playful pieces about the moon and stars, sweet songs of sleepy animals, and even a few mysteriously fun things that go bump in the night! Feel free to arrive in your favorite pajamas for this cozy "concert-in-the-round," perfect for the whole family!
