Arcade Architects is a half-day, Monday-Friday camp. Campers who want to stay for the second half of the day are welcome to — that time is free workshop time to keep working with their team. Campers staying the full day should bring their own lunch.

Making games is more fun with a team! Arcade Architects is a week-long game design camp where campers work together as members of a real studio. Your child will take on a role in game development, whether that's designer, programmer, artist, or producer, and spend the week collaborating with their team to build something from scratch. The week is built around a series of small, carefully chosen games made in Godot, a free and beginner-friendly engine used by indie developers all over the world. Each one introduces something new: movement, collision, game feel, sound, UI. Campers study these games together, talk about what makes them work, and use what they've learned to build their own. The goal is to understand game design as a craft, not just follow instructions. The studio structure is where the magic happens. Campers hold team check-ins, give and receive feedback, solve problems together, and figure out how to actually finish something as a group. On Friday, every team presents their finished game at a camp showcase.

No experience required. All skill levels welcome. Space is limited.
Arcade Architects is an affiliate of the COMO Girls Who Game community geared toward a broader demographic and focused primarily on game design. 

This community is dedicated to empowering young women in the gaming industry and providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed. By joining this community, campers will be able to connect with other like-minded individuals and gain access to exclusive resources and opportunities.
