Self Defense Workshop

Saturday, January 10th from 11:00am to 1:00pm in Fellowship Hall. This two-hour self-defense workshop is designed to equip you with practical knowledge and skills to respond effectively in a self-defense situation. The first hour focuses on the mental aspects and core concepts of self-defense, helping you develop awareness, confidence, and the mindset necessary to stay calm and composed under pressure. The second half is dedicated to practicing fundamental hand-to-hand techniques that can be applied in real-life scenarios. By combining mental preparation with physical skills, participants can build self-assurance and feel more empowered. The workshop is led by Tony Costa, a Zen Buddhist, Certified Yoga Teacher, and lifelong martial artist, whose diverse background enriches the training experience.
