- **Event Description**: You are invited to join us to celebrate Mabon/Fall Equinox at Steeleye's River House the weekend of September 20 & 21
Mabon is the 2nd of the 3 harvest festivals Dalhraidia celebrates (Lughnasa/Pennsic is the first, Samhain the 3rd) Mabon is also Fall Equinox, a time when we are balanced between light and dark. We gather to pause, process the activity of the light half of the year and intentionally turn towards the darker, slower more introspective winter months.

We'll convene at the river for a pot luck and bonfire, at least one ceremony, watersports, crab consumption, and other shenanigans. Festivities will start in the early afternoon, though some folks might start arriving as early as Friday evening. (please contact Steeleye if you plan on being part of the pre-party party).

Bring camping gear or make other arrangements ahead. You are heartily welcome for all or part of the scheduled event.

Intentions are being set for a Saturday sunset ceremony but the main event/ceremony will start later, the usual O-darkthirty. To quote our host, Steeleye "We are a Tribe of Druids, it is between you and your conscience to weigh your contribution; this ship carries no passengers, we all are crew, Carig, Cambrogi, Dluthu or Friend. As long as the circle is set in traditional fashion and time is given for Seasonal Thoughts, most types of innovation will be accepted"

The usual river house guidelines apply:
Dogs and well behaved children are welcomed.
The feast is as traditional: potluck Friday eve thru Sunday lunch. Feed your host, please.
Remember to take home any trash & recycling you generate & make an effort to help clean up after the festivities. We've been coming here long enough that we're family not just guests, so please pitch in & help to leave this enchanted ground in even better shape than it was when we arrived.

Garb is encouraged for the ceremony.
Vaccination is expected for anyone who is eligible. Please behave like responsible humans who believe in science and do not attend if you are eligible to be vaccinated but have chosen not to or if you have symptoms that could be contagious.
