- **Event Description**: Have you ever thought about running for office but had no idea how to do that?  Come on out to our meeting on Saturday Sep 20 to learn what it takes! In about 2 hours you will get a complete breakdown on the offices up for election, how you apply for these jobs, and what it takes to win the election. In October and November we will have more detailed classes before filing begins, and next year our Party will host events and help support your campaign. We need Democrats running for multiple positions in Carter County, and we can help you win.  Make a difference in your community! 
You don’t need to commit to run, but by learning how it works you will be prepared when you’re ready and will be able to assist someone else who Does want to run. Don’t assume we won’t get to have another election. Demand Democracy! 

From 2-4 PM we will be at the Elizabethton Carter County Public Library in the Nelson Room, with lots of information. Tracy Harris, non-partisan administrator of the Carter County Election Commission, will be our guest speaker and can answer any questions you may have about the upcoming elections. Let’s get busy and have a candidate from every district in next year’s election. ???
