In previous years, the program operated as one-day drop-off events. This year, we are moving to a new voucher-based system designed to make mattress recycling more flexible, accessible, and efficient for residents of El Paso and Teller Counties.Please read the details below carefully, as the process has changed.♻️ What’s New for 2026Instead of a single event day, approved participants will be able to drop off mattresses and box springs during designated weekdays using a FREE voucher provided by El Paso County.♻️ Program DetailsFREE vouchers are provided by the El Paso County Environmental Division for mattress and box spring recycling.Registration is required. Both Page 1 (name and email) and Page 2 (home address) must be completed. Incomplete registrations will be disqualified.❗ (Being on the email notification list is not automatic registration for an event. You must complete the registration process in the EventBrite link).Participation is limited. Early registration is strongly encouraged.Limit of 4 pieces per voucher. No exceptions. Additional items must be paid for directly by the participant.One voucher per household per year. Duplicate registrations will be removed.Proof of El Paso or Teller County residency is required at drop-off. (Driver’s license, utility bill, bank statement, lease, etc.)Eventbrite tickets are not valid. Urban Recycling will only accept participants on the approved voucher list.This program is for households only.
