- **Event Description**: For 2026, the MSTA Sky-High Tour JFF takes us to Buena Vista, Colorado. 
The event has a ride loop that will take you up and over 2 Alpine passes. Cottonwood Pass (12,126ft.), is the highest paved Pass in the lower 48 states. A lunch stop in Gunnison, CO. The afternoon ride will be East on US50 up and over Monarch Pass (11,312ft.). There is a gift shop and snack bar at the pass. The overall route is less than 200 miles. This should get the riders back to Buena Vista with time to explore the town and for those that are interested. A ride through the Midland Tunnels would be an interesting end to a fun day.
lodging in Colorado has become expensive. the best rates that I can find are at the Lakeside Motel, $159.00 a night. This is a smaller motel with a limited amount of rooms. Book a room as soon as you can for the best price and availability. I will be camping a few miles South of town at the Chalk Creek Campground. I have seen prices for tent sites in the $45.00 a night range. Call for RV sites for your individual RV.

There is also an Army Corps of Engineers campsite about 3.5 miles North of Buena Vista near the Midland Tunnels. These are mainly tent, van or very small RV sites. No water, electric hook ups. click on the link for more info.
