Known as the Local Maker Studio, these weekly creative sessions are a collaboration with the design studio GeoBlox and its founder Kanil Dias Abeyagunawardene.Led by a variety of artisans, artists, design experts, and small arts-based organisations, Local Maker Studio workshops are created to keep minds and hands busy through practical learning whilst encouraging interdisciplinary collaborations and networking. To improve the information available on these five architects in the digital sphere, a Wiki-edit-a-thon will be hosted at the De Saram House by Geoffrey Bawa, followed by an Open House Colombo event to visit and experience some of their key buildings. The programme ends with a series of workshops and a public exhibition of reinterpretations or analyses of these buildings through architectural model making. Stay tuned for updates!"
