- **Event Description**: Visit the Collective of Contemporary Artists' space as part of Open House Colombo 2026.About this EventInitiated in 2011, the Collective of Contemporary Artists (CoCA) is Sri Lanka’s pioneering art organisation dedicated to ecology-based, socially engaged, and sustainable art practices that connect mind, society, and environment. Founded by artists Poornima Jayasinghe and Chinthaka Thenuwara, CoCA developed as an artist-led collective that works with local and international artists, environmentalists, social scientists, inventors, and community practitioners to develop art as a catalyst for social and ecological awareness. The founders designed the space specifically for CoCA with the aim of creating a growing archive to document ecological and cultural narratives through visual, participatory, and behavioural art practices.Participants are invited to engage with the Leela Bhūmi [Playful Earth] interactive archival section, a living space where memory, play, ecological knowledge, and tangible and intangible heritage intertwine. Through hands-on installations and participatory activities, visitors can explore, contribute to, and experience the evolving narratives of the land, its histories, and its cultural and ecological heritage, while actively participating in decolonial archival practices.Address: 33 Gothami Road, Colombo 00800Google map link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/B7a3bLCcYpLfd8aN6Image © Chinthaka Thenuwara

To improve the information available on these five architects in the digital sphere, a Wiki-edit-a-thon will be hosted at the De Saram House by Geoffrey Bawa, followed by an Open House Colombo event to visit and experience some of their key buildings. The programme ends with a series of workshops and a public exhibition of reinterpretations or analyses of these buildings through architectural model making. Stay tuned for updates!"
