November 2026, 19 Uhr (Einlass ab 18 Uhr) Lesung aus dem Insta-Blog: »Notes from a little Black Girl«. In ihren Texten beschreibt sie in kurzen Prosa Episoden das Leben in ihrer neuen Heimat Düsseldorf: » I´m a little black girl (literally I’m 5 feet tall on a good day) who moved from Ethiopia to Germany at 17. I’m 8 Years deep into this „new life“ and honestly? Still figuring out. I didn’t come here to tell you how to survive immigration, or explain racism, or give you a step-by-step on how to start over in a country that sometimes forgets you exist. I’m just here to talk. About what it’s been like. For me. I’ll write about the weird stuff. The frustrating stuff. The beautiful moments too. Like what it means to build a life when home is a moving target. Or how music, random bus rides, and books like Americanah have held me together more times than i can count.
