This live auction is a tribute to Sarah Dearden - her creativity, her magic, and the legacy she leaves behind.

Guests will have the opportunity to view and purchase Sarah’s artwork, share memories, and spend time remembering a much-loved artist, mother, daughter and friend. 

Donations from ticket sales will go to Pendleside Hospice, in recognition of the care and support they provided.
Funds raised from the auction will be used to support Sarah’s two girls.

Whether you knew Sarah personally, admired her work, or simply wish to support her family and the hospice, you are warmly invited to be part of this meaningful evenin.

                "description": "Local people commenced fundraising in October 1988 to provide hospice care for Burnley and Pendle people diagnosed with cancer and other life limiting-illnesses. Our first service, a telephone helpline, was provided from a small office in the old Marsden Hospital. A day care service soon followed and we were allocated space at Pendle Community Hospital, whilst fundraising continued to build the Hospice, which opened in 1997. Since then, many thousands of local people have benefitted from our specialist palliative and end-of-life services. We now offer day therapy, specialist physiotherapy, complementary therapies, inpatient care, 24/7 hospice at home, counselling, bereavement support and spiritual care. Pendleside was built “by the people and for the people of Burnley and Pendle”; a statement that remains true today. Our vital services are only possible because of the outstanding charitable support of local people, who have given generously to Pendleside over many years. Without that support, the Hospice wouldn't be able to provide care that is relied upon by so many local families at very difficult times in their lives.\n"
