The Cold Spring community is invited to “A More Walkable Cold Spring,” a special presentation by Jeff Speck, urban planner and author of Walkable City. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, in Haldane High School’s Band Room. Doors will open at 6:30pm, and the program will begin at 7:00pm. The talk is free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
Internationally recognized for his expertise in designing walkable, vibrant places and co-founder of Speck Dempsey, an urban planning firm, Jeff Speck will present core principles of pedestrian-oriented design and discuss their relevance to Cold Spring’s unique context. A Q&A period will follow the presentation.
“A More Walkable Cold Spring” is an important opportunity for Villagers to explore innovative ideas to improve quality of life, promote sustainability, and foster community engagement.
