Event Description
This year we will be continuing the beautification of the picnic area planter beds! Building on last year's progress of dismantling an old wooden bed that was root binding two trees, we will be following a garden plan to plant a beautiful selection of native plants. Additionally, we will be creating another planter bed area around a tree on the river side of the pavilion where current foot traffic on its roots is negatively impacting its health. We will also be prepping the picnic area for spring maintenance.

Location
Volunteers will be gathering at the Peebles Island Riverside Pavilion. The Pavilion is located on the east side of the island across the road from the parking lot.

What should volunteers bring?
Dress for the weather, wear outdoor work boots and clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Please bring your garden gloves if you have them! Water will be available but bring a water bottle to refill and stay hydrated. Sunscreen and bugspray are also advised to have on hand.

Kids are welcome to participate and learn about the proper way to plant plants!
