EUROCITIES together with Barcelona and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is preparing an exciting meeting on ‘Inclusive labour market: local responses to the future of work’, on 15-17 April in Barcelona!
Topic of the meeting
The meeting will explore the topic of inclusive labour markets - local responses to the future of work. The 3 days will give the participants the opportunity to share ideas, practices and lessons learnt on:
how local policy makers can help people and places deal with the transition to a digital economy.
the strategies that cities across Europe are putting in place to prepare for the future of work.
the policies that cities are developing to promote lifelong learning opportunities.
the experience of cities pioneering the development of human-centred policy responses to the future of work.
Cities will draft guidelines on what cities can do to train people with the skills needed in the future jobs. Cities will draft also the key messages on the Youth Guarantee 2021-2027 programme and EU - Skills Agenda.

Are you working on initiatives to address the challenges that will results from the future of work? Are you searching for new ideas to improve your practices? We are searching for cities that are interested and committed to act as policy transfer and get inspired by Barcelona’s initiatives.
If selected, EUROCITIES will reimburse the travel costs, accommodation and subsistence costs for up to two representatives from your city participating at the critical friend review (up to certain thresholds that we will communicate to you, in line with EU funding guidelines).
