Art and AWARE Science Night (+ Scuba Certification)

Join us for Art and AWARE, a one-night creative workshop taught by a PADI Instructor and professional marine scientist. You’ll create your own ocean-themed artwork while learning about PADI AWARE’s mission to protect and restore our oceans.

This session guides you through crafting a beautiful ocean-centered art piece. Once your art is complete, settle in with your BYOB beverage while our marine scientist leads an engaging conversation on ocean conservation, marine life, and ways you can get involved.

Want to be scuba certified? You’ll also have the opportunity to earn an official PADI AWARE certification, which counts toward PADI Master Scuba Diver and PADI Advanced Diver credentials.

This workshop is for ocean lovers, divers and soon-to-be divers, curious creatives, and anyone who wants to make meaningful art while learning something new. No prior art experience required!

Emily Jackson is a co-owner at Crafted Art Club and a PhD candidate in marine science at Florida International University. She has over 12 years of experience as a marine biologist working for Florida Aquarium, FDEP, FWC, and University of California. Emily has been diving since she was 8 years old and is as passionate about the ocean as she is about crafting and making art.
