SAVE THE DATE FOR SHUTTLEFEST V JUNE 19-21, 2026
Planning for ShuttleFest V, “NASA at Star City,” is underway with a half-dozen astronauts and eight panel discussions celebrating the 30-year Space Shuttle Era.
Save these dates: June 19th "Fundraising Friday @ ASM" from 6-9 pm June 20-21st at Cocoa Beach Hilton Oceanfront
Friday’s June 19th evening fundraiser is a separate ticket to support the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation, the nonprofit organization running the American Space Museum. Astronauts, VIPs and program to be announced soon.
At the luxurious Cocoa Beach Hilton Oceanside, two days of panel discussions, astronaut autographs, photo opportunities and lots of fellowship will be an event not to be missed. Details to come, with a target of early December to announce event pricing and speakers.
Saturday June 20th will be focused on Americans on Russian spaceships, with confirmed astronauts so far including Norm Thagard, first NASA astronaut on Russian Mir Space Station and Mike Baker, twice a pilot and twice a commander, and the Director of Operations in Russia for several years.
Sunday June 21st (Father’s Day) will be “Shuttle Sunday” with astronauts Tom Jones, Sid Gutierrez and Nicole Stott saving the date so far.
Special presenters already booked include artist Chris Calle, NASA’s Bob Sieck, IMAX engineer James Neihouse, Shuttle photographers Tom and Mark Usciak, and astronaut trainer Ken Verderame.
More astronauts are wanting to come to ShuttleFest V as they fill their schedules for the coming year. And with a dozen or so astronauts living in the area, you don’t know who might crash the ShuttleFest party!
