After a long winter of early sunsets and dark evenings, change is finally here! On March 8, we return to Daylight Saving Time, bringing later sunsets and longer evening light.

To celebrate, Friends of the Thousand Islands (FOTI) invites you to a late afternoon/evening paddle in the Thousand Islands on March 8, beginning at 3:00 PM, please arrive at 2:45. 

We’ll launch from the Cocoa Beach Pool Pavilion, adjacent to the Cocoa Beach Country Club and tennis courts.

Event Details & Pricing:
- Free for FOTI members who bring their own kayak or paddleboard
- $10 kayak rental for FOTI members
- $30 for the public, which includes a kayak and a 2026 FOTI membership
- $20 for non-members who bring their own paddling gear (includes a 2026 FOTI membership)
- Kids paddle FREE!

After the paddle, we’ll gather at the pavilion to relax and chat about our experience on the water and how the Thousand Islands transitions from autumn to winter to spring. Healthy snacks and water will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your libation of choice.
