This is a BYOB intermediate/advanced-level kayak run (bring your own boat).
This run is a meandering adventurous paddle through mangroves. Be prepared for the unexpected as we explore mangrove tunnels scattered throughout the area. We have been known to put our paddles in our boats and pull ourselves through the tunnels with our hands, and we sometimes need to backtrack down tunnels that don't have an exit.

We highly recommend paddles that separate.
You should be an experienced kayaker for this adventure. The tunnels are interspersed through large open areas, so sun protection is essential.
What to bring:
- A water bottle (reusable water bottles are less likely to fall out of the kayak and become litter)
- Wear clothes that can get wet. It's unlikely that you will fall out of your boat, but it's always possible.
- Wear water shoes rather than flip-flops.
- PFD (Personal Flotation Device)
- A way to protect your phone, if you are going to use it for pictures on the water.
- Sunscreen, hat, sun shirt, and anything else you need to be comfortable on the water.
After the paddle, we will meet at La Catrina Mexican Restaurant located at 315 W Cocoa Beach Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. Consider an extra set of clothes on the off chance you fall out of your boat.
Jody and Mary are your hosts. Please contact one of us if you have any questions.
