This course is for those who want to make garments to fit their own shape perfectly. It's a full day of measuring, drafting and cutting a basic template as a basis of a pair of well fitting trousers.

You will create a basic blueprint from which to build your skills in pattern cutting, or simply create the one pattern to repeat in different cloth eg: linen, cord, silk, wool as summer or winter weight styles.

This is an advanced course and is best suited to those who have already done some dressmaking using bought patterns.

If you're not sure whether this is for you, then please give us a call before booking.

What do I need to bring? all drawing materials and pattern paper are provided.

Times: All our Saturday workshops run from 10 - 4 with a break for lunch.

Refreshments: We are unable to provide lunch, so please bring lunch or take advantage of the lovely cafes in Cockermouth. Tea, coffee, biscuits are on tap all day.

Parking: We are situated on the main street just next to Wordsworth House and there are several carparks within a short walking distance.
