Unable to speak English, they struggle to connect and feel at home in their new community.Through the warmth of strangers, the love of family, and the support of their Chinese-language church, they begin to find their place. As they learn English and engage with those around them, a story of resilience, connection, and belonging unfolds.This documentary series is directed by Yan Xu (Dan), a Master of Social Work student at the University of Melbourne. This project has been supported by Merri-bek City Council (Youth Services and Ageing Well Units).Refreshments will be provided.Booking essential.Please contact us a week prior to the event if you have any access requirements for you to fully participate.
