We are very excited to welcome author Anne Donovan to West Dunbartonshire to lead creative writing sessions inspired by our museum collection. So if you enjoy expressing yourself through words please join us. You will get chance to get your hands on West Dunbartonshire's history and maybe it will inspire a story or two from within you!

Anne Donovan is the author of the short story collection, Hieroglyphics and other Stories, and the novels, Buddha Da, Being Emily and Gone Are The Leaves, all published by Canongate. She also translated Roald Dahl’s Matilda into Scots.
Her short stories are set texts for the SQA National 5 examinations and her books have been shortlisted for many prizes, including the Orange Prize, the Scottish Arts Council Book of the year and the Dublin International IMPAC Award . She won Le Prince Maurice Award in Mauritius and was delighted to receive the Janet Paisley Services to Scots Award in 2022. She very much enjoys doing creative writing workshops.
These classes are FREE BUT TICKETED AND PLACES ARE LIMITED. To gain the full benefit of the experience we hope that you will attend all three sessions.
