IFAB is an open group of artisans who meet monthly on the 3rd Saturday to explore all types of fiber and fiber-like materials. Mediums and techniques are never limited examples include: 3-dimensional work, thread painting, fabric painting, botanical printing, fabric dyeing using natural and Procion dyes, felting, incorporating organic materials, crocheting, knitting, quilting, weaving, and anything else members wish to explore!
Formed by individuals with like interests in 2019, IFAB is diverse, inclusive, and offers equal opportunities to participate and learn together. As a relatively new group, we attract members from a wide area.

Our February meeting is Introduction to Cloth Dolls and Soft Sculpture. In this workshop, we will dive into the basics of making cloth dolls and soft sculptures - playful, expressive forms that blend sewing, shaping, and imagination. Kathy Adams will demonstrate foundational techniques, and you'll begin crafting your own simple doll using fabric, stuffing, and hand-stitching. While we won't have time to complete the dolls in class, you'll leave with a strong start and the skills to continue on your own. no experienced needed - just curiosity and a willingness to experiment! 

Our March meeting is an Inktense Presentation by Sandi Rieber. Inktense pencils can help you create a hand drawn picture, painted background, or to color in specific designs on your fabric. If you have these, please bring them or we will have items to share - Inktense pencils/blocks, textile medium, light colored PDF fabric, fabric markers (both permanent and disappearing), paint brushes, plastic table covers, small containers for water. Be sure to wear an apron or bring a paint shirt. Sometimes it can get messy!
