- **Event Description**: "Chris “Foghorn” Hibben

MSgt Chris “Foghorn” Hibben is a Combat Cameraman in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and a multi-industry storyteller whose career spans military service, broadcast journalism, special operations documentation, and aviation entrepreneurship.

Hibben began his military journey in 1991, enlisting in the U.S. Navy and attending boot camp at Great Lakes, Illinois. He served on active duty from 1991–1995 as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67), supporting both flight deck and hangar bay operations. Working in the intense, high-risk environment of carrier aviation, he gained the discipline, teamwork, and situational awareness that would define his future service.

In 1999, he returned to military service by joining the Navy Reserve as a Journalist. Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, Hibben was recalled to active duty and served as a Combat Cameraman for Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) and SEAL Team 4, documenting counterterrorism missions, partner-nation training, and anti-drug/counter-narcotics operations across the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.

In 2004, Hibben continued his military career by joining the U.S. Air Force Reserve, with his first assignment at the 440th Airlift Wing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Seeking greater opportunities to support operational imagery requirements, he transferred in January 2007 to the elite 4th Combat Camera Squadron, where he continues to serve as a Master Sergeant and mission leader.

With the 4th CTCS, Hibben has documented global operations including Bomber Task Force missions in the United Kingdom, Resolute Sentinel in Peru, security operations in the Horn of Africa, and major Air Force large-force exercises across the United States. His imagery supports senior-leader decision-making, partner-nation engagement, and historical preservation, and is widely distributed through DVIDS and international outlets.

Hibben’s civilian media career is equally accomplished. He began professional broadcast work in 1998 at WISN-TV Milwaukee, continuing at WBAY-TV Green Bay from 2000–2005. His coverage spanned breaking news, severe weather, and major regional events for top-rated ABC affiliates.

Parallel to his military and newsroom roles, Hibben founded Snap 180 Media in 1991 as a creative side venture. In August 2005, he transitioned to full-time ownership, growing Snap 180 into a respected production company whose work has appeared on ESPN, FOX News, The Weather Channel, CBS, NBC, ABC, and other major broadcast platforms. Snap 180 specializes in cinematic storytelling, commercial media, sports coverage, and aviation-focused production.

Beyond Combat Camera and media production, Hibben is the founder of JetGlow Aviation, a premium aircraft detailing and restoration company based at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Through innovative systems like the JetGlow Clarity System™, he provides industry-leading window restoration, brightwork, ceramic protection, and high-end surface care. He is also a private pilot and co-owner of Big Duke Aviation, flying a 1974 Piper Arrow II on cross-country adventures documented for a growing aviation audience.

Across every chapter of his career, from the deck of the USS JFK, to post-9/11 special operations missions, to national broadcast media and the aircraft ramps of Oshkosh, Chris Hibben brings a consistent theme to every mission: clarity, craft, and storytelling with purpose."
