The annual Clinton Cemetery walk will be held on April 27,2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. We will begin at the first gravesite in the south part of the cemetery.
The five gravesites we are going to feature are:
1. Bob and Mary Ford - They owned and operated the Greyhound bus station and The Post House Restaurant inside the bus station on Route 66
2. The John Lewis Dorsey family - They owned and operated the Dorsey Fruit Market on Route 66
3. The Delbert Shamburg family - They began by operating a service station which developed into a sporting store on Frisco Avenue
4. Dr. Elmer Eli Darnell - He was the superintendent of the Western Oklahoma Tuberculosis Sanitarium south of Clinton
5. Dolly Sauter - She was a rough talking pioneer aviatrix who flew black market during World War II
