You’re invited to join the Greene County Literacy Coalition on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 4pm for the dedication ceremony of our county’s newest Little Free Library located at the Tri-County Housing Authority Senior Living apartments at 225 N Morgan St in Jasonville, IN.
Our Greene County community is eager to contribute to the movement to share books, bring people together, and foster a community of readers. “We are excited to have coordinated and installed this 16th Little Free Library in our community. Our Literacy Coalition is thrilled that this Little Free Library will help spread joy, encourage connections, and promote literacy in our county ,” says the Greene County Literacy Coalition Coordinator, Lexie Hamil-Arnold.
This Little Free Library was made possible by the Jasonville Tri-County Housing Authority, the Greene County Foundation, volunteers Donovan Keller and Jeanette Keller, and the Greene County Literacy Coalition.
The Little Free Library nonprofit organization has been honored by the Library of Congress, the National Book Foundation, and the American Library Association, and Reader’s Digest named them one of the “50 Surprising Things We Love about America.” Each year, nearly 10 million books are shared in Little Free Libraries.
