By lighting Signal Beacons on New Jersey mountaintops, of course. "Hills on Fire -- Signal Beacons of the Revolutionary War" will highlight NJ's network of bonfires and signal guns that spanned the state and how their blazes helped Patriots defeat the British. Washington's brilliantly devised fiery network is yet another overlooked aspect of New Jersey's overall Revolutionary War story. Former NJ weekly newspaper editor Yvonne Stecher will outline their history, implementation, and impact on key events as well as provide details about some of Hunterdon County's own beacon sites and connections.North Branch of the County Library, 65 Halstead Street, Clinton.
