- **Event Description**: There will be a new quilting class at Ann's called Friends are Gems.  This class focuses on The Friendship Star.  The class will start on February 24 and run through March 10 and 17.  The three sessions will be $90.  Time is from 5:30 - 8:30.  This class is for intermediate quilters and confident beginners.  Knowledge of your sewing machine is required.  THIS WILL BE THE LAST CLASS UNTIL MID MAY-JUNE DUE TO KNEE SURGERY!!

Supply List:
Fabric requirements:  100% quilting cotton NO POLY COTTON
1 10" Layer cake or 42 - 10" squares of different designs (scrappy)
5 yds of white fabric for background and borders
Thread -white or gray - all purpose is fine
seam ripper, scissors, pins, marking pencil or frixon pen, small ruler
Cutting supplies:  Rotary cutter with fresh blade, rotary ruler (6x12) and rotary mat (12x18)
Ironing supplies:  small travel iron and ironing surface (wool mat is great)
