Americana Folk Art Needle Felted Ornaments

Join us at the Climax Community Center to learn about and create a one-of-a-kind wool-felted ornament.

The American folk art of wool felting is believed to have begun around the time of the Civil War. During those years, every scrap of blanket or garment was put to use out of necessity and that spirit lives on today in wall hangings, quilts, and ornaments. DeeDe Grieve has long been captivated by this craft, and she’s joining us to share it firsthand. Join us to learn how to create a one-of-a-kind holiday ornament.

This free program will begin immediately following the December meeting of the Climax Community Club. Everyone is welcome.
