National Shrine Organist Dr. Peter Latona in Concert on February 8

The St. Andrew the Apostle Concert Series is proud to present acclaimed award-winning organist and composer Dr. Peter Latona in a free concert on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM in Clifton, Virginia.

Dr. Latona serves as the Director of Music for the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., the largest Roman Catholic church in North America. Renowned for his artistry, versatility, and deep commitment to the Catholic musical tradition, he is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading liturgical musicians.

A noted composer, Dr. Latona has presented workshops on improvisation and has released numerous recordings. Having performed throughout the United States, Europe, and the Holy Land, his concerts have been praised for their brilliance, expressiveness, and ability to inspire both heart and mind. Come and enjoy an afternoon of powerful organ masterworks spanning the centuries!

Dr. Latona’s program will showcase the majestic sounds of St. Andrew’s beautiful pipe organ, known as the Organ of the Holy Archangels. Built by the Peragallo Organ Company, this magnificent instrument, designed in the French Romantic style, features three manuals, 51 ranks, and 2,891 pipes. After the concert, stay for a complimentary post-concert reception where you can mingle with friends and meet the artist.
