What Is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is a wellness practice with documented physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual benefits. Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, originated in Japan in the 1980s to help people manage stress and relieve symptoms associated with various chronic illnesses. Since then, the practice has helped people all over the world. 


What to Expect during the Experience:
During this Forest Bathing experience, you will be gently guided by a certified Forest Bathing guide to slow down and explore the beautiful City Green gardens and Learning Farm through a multi-sensory experience. 

The evening begins with sensory meditation to help you ground yourself and heighten your awareness of the surroundings and environment.  You will then be invited to explore the garden through a carefully selected series of prompts designed to deepen your awareness of both the outer landscape and your inner experience. The experience concludes with a peaceful tea ceremony, where you will savor a wild herbal tea prepared with herbs from the garden.

About the Educator:
Liubou Shefarevich is a Certified Nature & Forest Therapy guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, a certified EcoNIDRA meditation teacher, a mindful eating practitioner, and a linguist.

Through her small business nature-hearted, LLC, she facilitates mindful and embodied experiences that help connect participants to nature and themselves through slowing down, exploring with the senses, developing appreciation for the present moment, using language to connect with others, and more.
