Winter Shadow, Winter Light Ekphrastic Poetry Plus!
The spirits and creatures on the walls and pedestals in the gallery are waiting to whisper in your ear at the Opening Reception or the First Friday Reception and occupy your mind until you respond with a creation of your own! The ekphrastic tradition is to respond in verse (poems), but this time we are throwing the doors open and accepting whatever language your muse speaks, so bring us your shadowy songs, your scary interpretive dance, your dark knit scarf… we are accepting it all! There will be hot cocoa, coffee, tea, and cookies so you can keep your strength up during this creative extravaganza! It just must be inspired by the works in the Gallery, and you have to come present it on the 20th.
Help us dispel all the frightening shadows the day before solstice, so we can celebrate the increase of the light together!

There will be cocoa and cookies to keep your energy up for the event!
(Note: readings and other creations will start very close to 3, so arrive early in order to not miss anything)
