You'll learn about architecture, cultural development, historic preservation, and Cleveland's role in American history. New development projects are also highlighted. Along the way, you'll meet important figures from Cleveland’s past, portrayed by actors and actresses, who will share with you their stories.The Historic Euclid Avenue Tour meets at . Please arrive 15 minutes early as the tour starts promptly.About the Tour: Euclid Avenue, the residential “showplace of America” had a brief but glorious run from 1870 to 1910. Very little of that remains. But its next phase as a commercial Main Street of national prominence had its heyday from the 1920s to the early 1960s. The architecture built set the stage for the largest theater resurrection project in the nation and Cleveland’s largest street of adaptive reuse. Today it hosts more than 20 residential buildings.RESERVATIONS are requested but not required, walk-ups the day of tour are welcomed.TAKE A HIKE® is a program of Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation with generous support from Ohio & Erie Canalway and Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.TAKE A HIKE® offers 32 unique in-person guided tours from May through December.
