SATURDAY 19th JULY
5-7pm: In depth Tango Workshop with the exceptional SOPHIE MARTINEZ joining us from Spain. - LIMITED AVAILABILITY
We are thrilled to have Sophie Martínez to lead a two-hour progressive Tango Workshops to open our Tango Weekender. This workshop is designed for both roles and for those with a level of tango experience.
Part 1: Body alignment and flow of energy in opposite directions
Part 2: Applying what we've learnt to a sequence with circular energy and connection.
Sophie is an exceptional and inspirational tango dancer and teacher from Seville, she will share new ways to connect with your partner and feeling the music.
8 pm till MIDNIGHT:
MILONGA with Live Music with legend troubadour OSCAR ACEBRAS from Argentina. DJ Tango Alchemist (traditional music with splash of nuevo).
Join us for a night of passion and rhythm as we dance the night away at the beautiful Clevedon Community Centre. Get ready to move your feet to the sultry sounds of tango music in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned tango dancer or a beginner looking to learn, this event is perfect for everyone. Don't miss out on this unforgettable evening filled with music, dance, and great company. SUNDAY 20th JULY
2pm: The Poet's Walk by the tango ramblers with spectacular views across the channel (and splash on the Marine Lake for the brave!)
Then onto the The Riff Corner (17 Old Church Road, Clevedon BS21 6L)
6pm: Tango lesson open level with EDUARDO
7pm: JIMI CAN. Jimi bring us his soulful interpretation of world rhythms has long been influenced by the Grammy-winning tango album by flamenco star Diego El Cigala.
Followed by Tango dancing,, drinks and laughter.
